Woo hoo!  It’s officially April and we can officially begin our count down to Earth Day.  To add to our excitement Her Niche has established a strategic partnership with Prophetik, a super fabulous line of eco-friendly clothing.  Seriously, if you don’t know about Jeff Garner’s designs you’re missing out!  He creates ultra chic garments for men and women that can be worn everyday, for a night on the town or to Sunday brunch.  We’re very honored to partner with such a talented designer. More so, we’re humbled and inspired by his vision…just check out his philosophy and you’ll see what we mean. 

As you may have read we are working with NAMTRA Media to create a stellar website.  With that comes product and lifestyle shots of Bagonia and Birch bags.  And, well it simply wouldn’t do to have our models in anything less than hot eco-chic clothes…So our models will be wearing garments from Prophetik’s unreleased line that will personify and highlight features of the bags.  We can’t wait to show you Bagonia’s new designs and of course the new Birch utility bag for men…We’re picking samples up on Friday so we’ll be sure to post pictures this weekend. 

Oh, how could we almost forget…We will be doing a live morning show segment with NBC 7/ 39 on Monday, April 20th, so pencil it in and set your alarms :).

Everything is starting to come together…Today was a really exciting day! NAMTRA Media sent over the design of the new Bagonia website.  And, we have to say it is pretty freaking FAB-U-LOUS!  They even came up with a cute name for our blog hence the title “Blogonia.”  To get ready for the launch of our website we are planning our official Bagonia and Birch photoshoot. The shoot is tentatively scheduled for April 10, so we have two weeks to scout locations, models, wardrobe, etc. At least we get to focus on the fun stuff for a while. Nice change of pace. We need these fun things to think about since there’s always the looming challenges that we are working through. Such as production…

We got a call from the factory that the samples are a bit behind schedule. Aaah! That’s why we are here blogging instead of driving back from Los Angeles. But we’re only pushed back a week (could be worse) so we’ll adjust schedules accordingly. We know it’s hard but you’ll all just have to wait one more week to see the new designs.

With Earth Day less than a month away, we are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The samples will be ready, a small production run will be done, tags and nameplates will be ordered, marketing material will be created, photos will be online, and we’ll be ready to absorb the anticipated attention from our promotions. So, bring it on, world.

On a completely different note, we have been brainstorming event ideas for Her Niche and are thinking about putting together a concert that promotes local women in music. Her Niche presents Her Music. Catchy, no? We thought so.

Well, enough blogging. Time to chill out and get some creative inspiration for our photoshoot (i.e. drink wine and take sloppy notes).

Where do we even begin?  As we said before when we have the most to say we don’t have the time to say it.  Our biggest news is that we’ve secured a promotion with The Tonight Show with Jay Leno for Earth Day! Woot Woot!  The Tonight Show will be gifting Bagonia and Birch (the men’s version of Bagonia) to show guests and friends of the show.  We’re really excited and can’t wait for them to see how easy it is to have style and be able to help protect the environment at the same time.

In other news, last week we traveled up to LA to work with our manufacturer on creating three new Bagonia style samples and a sample for our men’s line Birch.  The new styles are seriously kick ass.  You’ll have to wait and see why they are so fabulous (hint – there’s another added feature).  Understanding that most men aren’t into carrying around a bag we got creative and headed to the Home Depot to incorporate industrial elements.  The Birch bags will give men style and function without putting them into the sissy category. 

Also, we’ve been approached by a boutique in the French Rivera that learned about Bagonia from someone in the US and wants to carry the bags!  Holla!  Bagonia is starting to develop and international reputation. 

On Wednesday we met with NAMTRA Media to discuss the development of our website.  They are going to be creating a fabulous home Her Niche on the web.  Nichole left her Bagonia Bowling Bag with them and they took 120 pictures of it!  Product photography is no joke.  If you need any type of website, POP display, stuff for your tradeshow NAMTRA, etc. We highly recommend them.   

This week while Adriana was returning her rental car she meet one of the friendliest girls ever at Enterprise Mission Valley, Megan.  They got to talking and totally clicked.  Megan is totally into the “green scene” and chances are will be an awesome new addition to the Her Niche team. Yay Megan! 

Coming up next week we will be headed to FIDM to hear the students presentations for the branding of an upcoming product.  The presentations are set up Donald Trump Apprentice style so they will definitely be fun.

Lastly (well not really but we don’t want this post to be a manuscript), if you follow us on Twitter you might have also noticed that we have a new logo.  And, if you don’t why not?

So Nichole has a tendency to lose things…keys, mail tracking sheets, um her Bagonia Bowling Bag.  Well, she didn’t really lose it as much as left it at Rebecca’s coffee shop.  Funny thing, the woman who owns the coffee shop looked at Nichole’s ID, Googled her and found our blog to let her know that she had it.  If that wasn’t cool enough she actually remembers seeing the Blue Ribbon Busy Bag in a window display somewhere – probably Be Beauty boutique in Little Italy.   Ah, the power on “the blog.”

So Adriana continues to prove others right regarding her accident proneness (more like her being in the wrong place at the wrong time but whatever she’s still hurt).  She was rear ended last week and has serious whiplash which has made the littlest things the most painful.  So now she’s living up to her saying that challenges are opportunities for innovation…she’s creating creative ways to sit and type and do basically just about everything (some of which are pretty entertaining).

Other than losing things and getting into car accidents we are waiting to hear back on some really awesome Earth Day promotions, working on Birch (a line of man’s bags similar to Bagonia), trying to find investors (the DOW is making this challenging), working on solidifying Her Niche’s brand identity and partnering with NAMTRA Media to create a kick ass website.
